CV/Applications workshop

Booking opens today - Monday the 7th - for a CV/Applications Workshop which is specifically for International Students. It is run by myself and also a colleague from the English Language Teaching Centre. The workshop is in 2 parts which run on 2 Thursday afternoons – the 17th and the 24th February- and you have to be able to attend both. The first session covers what makes a good CV and Application and in the second part you get your CV individually checked by someone from the Careers Service reviewing the content and structure etc, and then by someone from the ELTC who is reviewing the spelling, punctuation, grammar etc.
So don’t miss out – call in to the Careers Service to book a place -you’ll need to bring £10 in cash to leave as a deposit which you get back at the second session. (This workshop oftens books up quickly so don't leave it too late to reserve a place.)
Other events for International Students coming up this semester include:-
- 3 ‘Maximising Mondays’ sessions – drop-in careers advice session in the Jobshop (the first one is today 1.00-3.00pm)
-3 National Insurance Number Days
-2 Interview workshops
-1 Peer panel – ‘The truth about working while you study’
