(Apologies for the fact that this blog has been very quiet for a while - we have had technical problems with our IT system and have not been able to access the blog.)
But I just wanted to remind everyone that the Careers Service is open all over the summer apart from the 29th of August (which is a public holiday).You can call in to use the resources or talk to an Adviser.
Also don’t forget all the useful information on our website:-
-‘myVacancies’ – register via the Careers tab in MUSE to see all the jobs that are available- (graduate, work experience , vacation, part-time etc)
-‘myInternationalcareer’ and ‘Going Global’ are particularly useful if you want to look for work back home or in other countries outside the UK. (For Going Global you must initially register on a campus computer – you can then create a personal account which you can access from any computer)
-On-line talks and video clips on a range of topics – there are some new ones and skills-related ones done by employers – so definitely worth a look
-Example CVs
-E-guidance service. If you aren’t in Sheffield you can use this to email in a question or have your CV/Application checked
-and lots more
- Finally don’t forget that once you have completed your course you are entitled to use out services for up to 3 years!
