New semester, new opportunity?

Happy New Year and welcome back if you have been away. Hope you had a good break and a bit of a rest in the midst of revising.
You may have been using the holidays to also apply for graduate jobs and internships.
On that topic, have you heard about ‘The Sheffield Internship Scheme’? It offers internships with local organisations, and gives you a chance to work on projects and earn a bursary of £620. You will have the opportunity to learn new and valuable skills which will in turn enhance your CV for future employment. All internships will take place over 100 hours in total – a maximum of 15 hours per week – and must be completed by 31st March 2012.
It has been open for a while now, but there are internships are still available. Most of the closing dates for these are next week, so don’t delay. There are lots of interesting opportunities available in areas such as Website Development, Design and Marketing, PR, Arts and Theatre, Journalism etc
To find out more about the scheme go to
http://www.sheffield.ac.uk/careers/students/jobs/intern
To see and apply to the actual vacancies, go to myVacancies via the Careers tab in MUSE- then go to Search Vacancies and tick ‘Casual/part time work’ and put ‘The Sheffield Internship Scheme’ in the Keyword box.
