Update on Internships for International Students

A while ago in this blog I mentioned that 5 new paid internship positions had been advertised. They were within Student Services at the University and were specifically for international students (or students who have experience of being an international student - i.e. studied abroad etc). The posts were in:-
-Careers Service -Evaluation Assistant - Services for International Students
-Registry Services- Communications Review Assistant
-ELTC -International Summer School Recruitment Assistant
-Student Support and Guidance - Vacation Programme Assistant
-Student Support and Guidance - Chinese Student Project worker
Well, to keep you up-to-date – they have all been recruited for, and most have started and the rest are about to start.
The successful applicant for the one in the Careers Service was Buya Jallow who is a second year international student. She has started with us today and she will be working on evaluating our services to international students. So it is likely that she will be designing a questionnaire and then contacting you to ask for your views. So it will be your chance to tell us what you think of what we do!! (For example what you like, what you are not so keen on, what services you’d like to see etc.) Buya will be working on how she will contact you, but it could include via Facebook, Twitter, face-to-face, focus groups, this blog etc. So look out for all this – it is your chance to help her to help us improve and develop our services.

Thanks
Judy
