‘A week in the life of a Saudi Student’

I was recently sent this fantastic article by a colleague in the International Office.
It was written by Ghada Al Harthi a student from Saudi who graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2012 after completing a BA in Accounting and Financial Management. The article was published in the June/July issue of 'Sayidity' magazine, which I understand has the largest female readership in the region.

Ghada describes a typical week of her life in Sheffield. She has really made use of all the opportunities at Sheffield!

There are lots of things that I like about this article:-
The writing style; the range of subjects talked about; the lovely photos of Sheffield; but particularly the fact that she mentions the Careers Service several times!  :-)
Ghada says the “Careers Service… are by far my favourite service in the University”.  She attended one of our ‘Skills for Success’ sessions on Project Management and had several individual appointments to have her CV and Covering Letter reviewed. She talks about the fact that we provide help and support in finding jobs, internships and further study and provide access to many resources.
(Ghada had a part-time for some of the time during her degree working as a Student Ambassador for the International Office).

So Ghada thanks for your kind and positive words about us and we wish you much success in your future career.

So I hope you all enjoy this great article as much as I did -http://www.sheffield.ac.uk/polopoly_fs/1.294333!/file/Sayidity.pdf
