Careers Session for International Students – English Language Issues for CVs, Applications and Interviews.

Thursday 12th November 1-2pm.
Are you worried that you might make mistakes with your English when it comes to writing CVs, Covering Letters, and Application Forms?
We sympathise - writing these documents in a second language must be hard. But if you are applying for jobs in the UK it is very important that the standard of your English Language is good and your applications are free of errors.
So, come along to this session, run jointly by the Careers Service and the English Language Teaching Centre, and we will aim to be of help. You will find out about the typical mistakes that international students make and how to avoid them and get lots of useful tips. You will learn how to use the tools and support available to you to ensure that your applications are well written and effective. The advice is also relevant for interviews.
All non-UK students are welcome to attend this event including undergraduates in any year of study, taught postgraduates and postgraduate researchers
