Thank you to the British Council for coming to the University of Saturday (the 8th of November) and bringing some HR executives from major employers in China.
It was horrible weather on Saturday - very rainy! – but over 150 Chinese students attended. They heard the speakers give an overview of the job market in China and talk about various aspects of recruitment from the employer’s perspective.
The speakers included senior representatives from the
British Council, MasterCard China, Weibo, and Country Garden Holdings (a major
property development/construction company).
After the guests had spoken, students had the chance to ask
questions, leave copies of their CVs, interact with the speakers, as well as
inquire about vacancies that the
companies had available.
This provided a fantastic opportunity for students to
understand and discuss the requirements of China’s domestic employment market,
and find out about employment opportunities.
